Mission
The Smykil Family Foundation mission
The Smykil Family Foundation aims to provide scholarships to students who intend to pursue a career as tradesmen or tradeswomen through the Christopher S. Smykil Memorial Scholarship.
The Smykil foundation was founded to memorialize the life and achievements of Christopher “Chris” S Smykil. Chris’ life challenges were many and the triumph over those life obstacles can serve as an ideal to strive toward.
The foundation is committed to helping young people make the transition from adolescence to fulfilled young adults. Offering financial assistance to qualified students that are continuing their education related to a trade field after high school is the way we have decided to best achieve our goal.
Together we can work toward making one of life’s transitions less difficult for the young people of our community.
